Registered Music Together Teacher

Emily is delighted to be joining the Coastal Melodies Music Together Family!  She recently completed her teacher training under the instruction of Esther Winter & Deanna DeCampos and is proud to be a Registered Music Together Teacher.  Emily grew up singing in what MT considers a "musically rich environment" and credits that early work by her parents with her love of music and performance.

Growing up in Central Pennsylvania, her musical history includes playing the cello in orchestras, percussion in concert bands, and singing in choruses and children's choirs all throughout her schooling.  She graduated from Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts (Pittsburgh, PA) with a B.A. in Musical Theatre, where she was a mainstay in their children's theatre programming, Playhouse Jr.  This experience provided a springboard to her first professional job as a company member with Surflight-To-Go's touring children's theatre company, offering her the opportunity to further nurture her love of children & arts education.

After a long 10 year hiatus from music & performance while working in a corporate job, she has now returned to her true love of music and children with Music Together!  Often described as a "cartoon character" when hanging out with little ones, she is thrilled to bring her brand of silly to Coastal Melodies classrooms and families of Monmouth County.
